About Community Support Services
Community Support Services support older adults, seniors and adults with disabilities. Our goal is to support individuals to remain safe, independent and healthy home. Community Support services are funded by Ontario Health East. These services play a vital role our health care system.
Community Support Services can assist older adults, seniors and adults with disabilities who:
- Have difficulty managing self-care activities
- Aren’t able to shop or prepare healthy meals
- Can’t keep up with basic housekeeping or home maintenance
- Are lonely or isolated
- Need mental stimulation or physical activity
- Have Alzheimer’s, dementia, or an acquired brain injury
Community Support Services can help caregivers who need:
- Support to cope with responsibilities
- Support to maintain their resilience
- Caregiver education
- Help to manage daily tasks
- Support to avoid caregiver burnout

Community Support Services are offered by trusted non-profit organizations, funded by Ontario Health. Providers know their local communities and available resources. They strive to work on improving the lives of those living in their communities.
